Lesson Plan Summary
- Warm-up
- Roleplay: 'Your drone just lost signal — what do you do?' Capture answers, then teach RTH.
- Direct instruction
- Emergency response includes controlled descent, safe landing zone selection, loss-of-signal planning, battery warnings, and emergency stop protocols. Walk through the decision tree: low battery → land soon; lost signal → RTH; collision risk → E-stop.
- Guided activity
- Run the Emergency Landing Drill — react fast, land in the safe zone within 10 seconds. In-app activity: Emergency Landing Drill. Related mission: estop.
- Assessment
- Student lands in safe zone within 10 seconds. Complete the 5-question in-app quiz; reteach any question missed by more than 30% of students.
